GRAND NATIONAL ARTICLE IX

THE GROUND IS POSSIBLY GOOD TO SOFT!!

THE RAINS ARE NOT SERIOUS, THE GROUND IS DESCRIBED AS GOOD TO SOFT AND THAT GIVES ALL PARTICIPANTS, ESPECIALLY THE HIGH CLASS ONE A GOOD CHANCE TO WIN THE EVENT.

GOOD TO SOFT GOING MEANS THERE IS A YIELDING GROUND UNDERNEATH AND THAT NEARLY ALL HORSES WILL LOVE THE GROUND. BECAUSE THIS IS A HANDICAP RACE THE HIGHEST WEIGHTED HORSES ARE SUPPOSEDLY THE BEST TOO. THAT IS THE THEORY BEHIND THE WEIGHT ALLOCATION BUT THAT DOES NOT USUALLY WORK OVER THESE OBSTACLES AND OVER THE DISTANCE TOO. TAKING INTO ACCOUNT MINOR ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THE ALLOWED NUMBER OF RUNNERS, 40 OF THEM, THEN YOU UNDERSTAND THE SAYING

" YOU NEED LUCK TO WIN A RACE LIKE THIS""

NO SUBSTANTIAL RAINS FORECAST AND THE GROUND EXPECTED TO REMAIN AS IT IS AT THE MOMENT, GOOD TO SOFT!!

WE WILL LOG ON OUR TEAM WHEN THE JOCKEYS AND GROUND DESCRIPTION ARE CONFIRMED ON THURSDAY!!
